We can only say thank you all for turning up today and ploughing on in horrendous conditions... 48 riders signed on but 47 rode as one had bike problems at the start so kindly observed instead. The observers - We cannot thank you enough ! I'll sort out better score cards that work in the rain in future, this weather was exceptionally bad, hope you all got home and dried off quickly !
A couple of the sections did get very slippery, worse than we had hoped for, but most riders seemed to be coping well. The results will be up as soon as I can, but I appear to have only 8 of the 10 cards at the moment.
We raised £470 for the Air Ambulance, we will get the money to them in the next couple of weeks, on a dry day ! (A nice little ride over to Semington to drop it off...)
Finally a big thank you to Sandy for her help with signing on, and Lizzie for taking photo's. Keep an eye out for our next event which will be at a new,never before used venue. The farm is just off the A46 at Cold Ashton, not far from where we were today. As soon as we set a date I'll post it here.
